Because trees count
scroll

we want to see them grow.

It is widely known that recycling 1 ton of paper “saves” 17 trees, or 28m3 of water, or 4,100 kwh of electricity.

Today, recycling is not just a sign of proper education, but also a precondition for the ecological balance of our planet. As the standard of living is increasing in every corner of the world, consumption of packaged products is growing, creating an urgent need for solid waste management solutions. Landfills of sanitary burial are not inexhaustible and burning cannot be the only way. This finding leads to the establishment of recycling, an activity which exists in Greece since 1920, when it was mainly focused on paper, which was transported with wheelbarrows and carts.

Globally, waste management is governed by international and national laws. In Greece, our national law has incorporated Community Directives, while for specific matter regulation, a series of joint ministerial decisions have been issued. The European Waste Catalogue (EWC) has immediate effect, as per the Annex of Decision 2002/532/EC, as amended and in force.

At A.P. Recycling, we collect and export recycled paper and plastic, meeting all national and Community regulations.
